WHIO Weather is a lifestyle application that provides up-to-the-minute weather coverage for Dayton, Springfield, and all of Ohio. The app is available for Android and iOS platforms. With WHIO Weather, you can check out weather conditions in your neighborhood, live. The app offers current conditions, hourly and daily forecasts, and audio forecasts for any location you enter. It also features background tracking for current location updates, alert badges for more than 110+ alert types, and push notifications for 6 of the 110+ alert types, including tornadoes.
Moreover, the app features a level 3 interactive radar, animation/loops, and visible satellite map. It provides one, two, and three-day outlooks from NOAA's Storm Prediction Center. You can also access Twitter and Facebook feeds for additional updates. The premium features of the app include voice-enabled push alerts for all remaining alert types, voice announcements of alerts, and more. However, these features are available for the United States only. Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
